Jonathan Makarios
Founder - Head of Podiatry
I’m Jonathan Makarios, the founder of Makarios Health and the lead podiatrist within our team. With many years of experience, I’ve dedicated my career to improving foot health and overall wellbeing, particularly in the aged care sector.
I’ve had the privilege of leading podiatry teams for two of Australia’s largest aged care providers, where I oversaw services across Victoria and Tasmania. My expertise includes nail and skin care, vascular and neurological assessments, high-risk wound management, and orthotic prescription. I take pride in delivering care that supports independence, mobility, and quality of life.
Beyond clinical practice, I’m passionate about mentoring clinicians, fostering strong healthcare teams, and ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, evidence-based treatment. At Makarios Health, my goal is simple: to provide expert podiatry care that makes a real difference in people’s daily lives .
